A Trip to Ann Arbor

Today, I don't have much by way of recipes (unless you count cider+captain=delish), but I do have some pix from my weekend trip to Ann Arbor! UofM campus is a really fun, beautiful place to be, and visiting on Halloween weekend was a blast. Colorful costumes, friendly students, cute bohemian neighborhoods, and funky shops are part of what makes Ann Arbor such an interesting place to be. Visiting campus, taking pix at the Cube, seeing the city, and spending time with my bf and brother outside of Mount Pleasant is something I've wanted to do for awhile, so when I saw my opportunity, I went for it. 

While there, a pilgrimage to Trader Joe's was necessary, and I came out with a bottle a few bottles of wine, some awesome chile sauce, and the seasonal favorite- TJ's Pumpkin Butter, which I can't wait to put on waffles (or toast, pancakes, and any other baked good I can get my hands on)

A little nightlife, plenty of Starbucks, fun new people, and nommy pad thai at Noodles&Co got me through the weekend with plenty of smiles and laughs. I can't wait to go again, but after the long drive home, it's time to buckle down and finish the projects I've been procrastinating on. Cheers to all on Halloween!

 
This sculpture outside the art museum was really cool, (and climber-friendly!) so scaling it for photos was a must.

Playing with the Cube was tons of fun- and all the backbends I do in yoga have given me the ability to do awesome Matrix moves! (okay, I'm a geek, but I still felt awesome, haha).
