A bit of complaining

As usual, things are pretty crazy in my life. Just bear with me while I rant this out. If you're not into it, try again tomorrow and I'll have a happy book review for you- promise! :)

My kitty Ari needs to go the the vet again- although he has his energy and appetite back, he's still snuffly and his eyes are puffy/runny. Poor thing. We're working with Theo right now to get him trained to accept a harness- he's actually doing pretty well so far (meaning, he hasn't tried to tear it off the last few times we've put it on him.) He's even started to play, eat, and run while wearing it, so there's hope. Baby steps!

I got a flat tire the other day on the way to work, and the repairman said it could be fixed. If it hadn't been stolen out of my truck while I was at work. I'm pretty furious that someone would just take something out of another's vehicle, but it's my own fault for not thinking to lock it up. And in some dark corner of my mind, I'm glad that the tire they stole is a flat. Ha.

Work has been calling me in for extra hours, which is a mixed blessing. I love what I do and really need the extra cash, but I'm hoping that I'll have some time for a social life and homework in the near future. At least I've been keeping up with Creative Club (I know I haven't posted about it in awhile). Our small initial group has been expanding, and taking a couple hours each week to work on a craft and talk with others has been a nice distraction from the daily grind.

On the bright side, I do have a tentative date night scheduled for Friday, that is, if I don't have to take on an extra-long shift. It may sound whiny, but I'm overdue for a meal that I didn't have to plan and cook, and I'm really looking forward to seeing "On the Rox," an acapella performance by local CMU and visiting MSU singers. Should be great!
